Ride to Work change Notice July 1, 2025

PUBLIC NOTICE

July 1, 2025

Attention: Shuttle Riders and Employers

We appreciate your continued partnership and use of our weekly ride to work shuttle service.

To streamline the payment process and support compliance with local match and federal funding requirements, we will be moving to payroll deduction as the only payment method for all shuttle riders, effective the week of August 3, 2025.

What This Means:

  • All shuttle fees will be deducted directly from employee paychecks.
  • Riders will no longer be able to pay individually via cash, check, or online platforms.
  • This change ensures secure, consistent billing and helps avoid missed payments or service interruptions.

Action Required:

We kindly ask the employer to coordinate with their payroll department to:

1.     Email a list of participating employees weekly.

2.     Set up a recurring deduction for each registered shuttle user.

3.     Employers will be invoiced monthly for the use of the shuttle.

We will continue to provide the same service the employees depend on, with no changes to routes or schedules at this time.

If you have any questions about this change or need assistance with the transition, please feel free to contact us.

Thank you for your cooperation and continued trust in Cape Girardeau County Transit Authority.

Sincerely,

Ginny Smith
